The hospital is served by a 24 hour ambulance service.  Ambulances are located in Grace, Bancroft, and Soda Springs and are staffed by a team of EMT's (Emergency Medical Technicians) that are well trained to handle any emergency.  In addition, a life flight helicopter can be summoned on very short notice to transport patients in need of more intensive care to area hospitals. 

Other services available at the Caribou County Hospital include surgery, radiology, obstetrical care and delivery, 24-hour emergency and laboratory service, CT scans, ultrasound, industrial testing and mental health services.  Associated with the hospital is a 43 bed skilled nursing home that provides 24 hour care for its patients.  The hospital also offers Home Health Care for the residents of the area and their staff do an excellent job of caring for patients who are able to function in their home but need some assistance. The hospital and staff are equipped to do many procedures that you would only expect to be done in a larger hospital. 

Area doctors include John Franzen and Brian Anderson who specialize in family practice and obstetrics.  They practice in a clinic located in the north end of the hospital.  In addition, an internal medicine specialist, Dr. Nita Weber and other specialists, including a nephrologist,  a plastic surgeon, an ENT, an orthopaedic surgeon, a Board Certified General Surgeon and an opthalmologist practice in the Lakeview Medical Clinic which is located just  north of the hospital.   Doug Balls RPT, has Caribou Physical Therapy, which is located directly south of the hospital, is open 5 days a week, and offers a wide range of physical therapy services.   The hospital also houses a mental health department which is also located in the Lakeview Clinic which is just north of the hospital.  The hospital also has a part-time clinic located in Grace in the Grace Clinic.  It is staffed by Brett Smith PA, and a local MD. 

A high point for the hospital each year is its annual Health Fair, a very popular county event that is held in April of each year.  A dozen or so booths are set up and the area residents can come and be checked for everything from cholesterol levels to eye screening.   Area health practitioners man the booths and provide invaluable guidance for those with problems.

A new addition has recently been added to the north end of the hospital.  It includes an enlarged space that accomodates two emergency rooms, an enclosed area for the ambulance to enter before transporting patients into the emergency rooms and a new two-level clinic where Dr's. Franzen and Anderson practice.

Other health practitioners in the county include five dentists, two chiropractors, and two optometrists. Additional specialists who practice in other offices in the area include three orthodontists, two podiatrists and a hearing specialist.
